COOL JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME “DEATH TOUCH” SCENE FROM THE MOVIE “BLOOD SPORT”

Greetings everyone, although the “death touch” is the stuff of legend, it is based in truth and deals with a deep knowledge of the nerve centers (energy clusters) of the body. In this fictional scene Jean Claude Van Damme (as Frank Dux) demonstrates the “penetrating power” of the “death touch”. This is just a cool scene I decided to share. If you like martial arts and have not seen this movie, I consider it a must watch! It’s just one of those “cult classic” martial arts movies that everyone especially martial artists should see.

Kung fu is one of the styles that influenced the creation of Shu Ha Ri Do. It is a big part of what I teach, and why I wear a Kung Fu uniform. To clarify, the reason you may see my students wear traditions gi’s  is because my transition in the martial arts went from the hard styles of Karate to the soft styles of Kung Fu, to the creation of Shu Ha Ri Do. With that being said enjoy the video.

TRAPS AND STANDING JOINT LOCK TRANSTIONS

In this video I show basic transitions we use in Shu Ha Ri Do to facilitate

standing joint locks. It is all about the “flow” of energy. Do not try to

“muscle” an attacker, “flow” with and redirect them with joint

manipulation. In this video you will learn a few useful techniques that, with

practice will help you control an attacker.

Inspiring tribute to Bruce Lee

As with so many, Bruce Lee inspired me so much. It started for
me at age 4 with my parents taking me to the drive in theater
where I saw Bruce for the first time on the huge building sized
movie screen! That time set a tone for the rest of my life. I love
him like an uncle although I never met him I’ve learned so
much from him. Of all the the many styles and systems I
trained in, his was the most mind expanding!
