In Shu Ha Ri Do I teach students to go from zero to 60 in one beat or one count. In this video I explain this concept a little more in depth.
I created my own version of a Mook Jung (Wing Chun Dummy) back in 1992. I trained on the dummy for several hours every day for years. During that period of time I developed my own punch block patterns. These patterns were the very beginning of my creation of Shu Ha Ri Do in 1998. These patterns are absolutely only the beginning of the 7 belt system I call Shu Ha Ri Do. A system that includes conventional boxing, full contact karate principles, muay thai, wrestling, submission, creative elements, even animalistic forms.
In this video you will see just a few of the kick-boxing concepts in Shu Ha Ri Do.
In Shu Ha Ri Do, there are 7 phases in this video I share concepts from the animalistic phase, level 3 “The Fury of the Birds”. The form you see is one of several original forms in Shu Ha Ri Do. I call these forms COMS, short for COMBAT MANEUVERS.
Two of my recently promoted Sisooks (apprentice instructors) working Shu Ha Ri Do Gold belt techniques. Tai Sisook Cam, and Shen Sisook Trent embody the true essence of the Shu Ha Ri Do Code.
As many of you know already I created my own martial arts system in 1998
after many years of training. This video shows a glimpse into the evolution
of Shu Ha Ri Do. I have had over 700 students since that time clearly the
influence of Shu Ha Ri Do has only gotten stronger. Osu to all of my
students and students to be, together we continue the lifelong pursuit of
self mastery under the Kingdom of Heaven.

BE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE CHART BELOW BEFORE DOWNLOADING
Hello everyone, below is my strike zone philosophy. I hope this helps you in your quest to keep yourself and your family safe.
As you examine the chart keep in mind the “Center Line Principle” which highlights that most vital spots of an attacker are located along the center line of the body. These areas are the:
There are many other pressure points and vital areas of course, however, when attacked these are readily accessible. You will notice that included are some areas not found on the center line such as the knees, temples, &feet. The knees, and temples although not found on the center
line are vita as well. When protecting yourself against an attacker remember these three things:
If they can’t see they can’t attack!
If they can’t breathe they can’t attack!
If they can’t stand they can’t!
Greetings everyone! In this video you will see inspiring and powerful concepts insights into how the Shu Ha Ri Do symbol illustrates my principles of self mastery under the Kingdom of Heaven.
