Welcome to the Shu Ha Ri Do website. Although Shuhari is a Japanese word, Shu Ha Ri Do is influenced by Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Jeet Kune Do and other systems. My title is Sifu however, I could have just as easily been called Shihan. The word Shu Ha Ri describes the stages of learning all the way to mastery. It is sometimes referred to in other disciplines, as Go. Shuhari roughly translates to "to imitate, to create, to master". This site is all about martial arts techniques, inspiring quotes, safety, awareness, and uncommon knowledge regarding self mastery under the Kingdom of Heaven. Interested in training in Shu Ha Ri Do martial arts visit 17842 S Dixie Hwy 33157 Monday and Wednesday 4:30 to 7:00 pm or contact Sifu G. at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Greetings everyone, I bring to you another wise quote by Lao Tse, “NATURE DOES NOT HURRY, YET EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED”. There is a lot we can learn from creation. Nature never hurries but everything indeed gets done. Everything in nature moves smoothly in a methodical rhythm yet nothing gets left undone. Nature never hurries and yet is always on time. Just take a moment to ponder that. Take a look at the images below and ask yourself when have you ever seen nature move so chaotically. What feelings do the images create in you? No doubt chaotic, dizzying feelings. What does that pace remind you of? Yes our society that we say is progressing yet everyone is sped up, hurried, and stressed in a chaotic rhythm that we call “getting ahead”. Perhaps the only thing we are getting ahead of is ourselves…
GARDENING WOULD CEASE TO BE A PEACEFUL ACTIVITY IF IT GREW LIKE THIS
In closing all I have to say is thank God this is our reality…
Greetings everyone, although the “death touch” is the stuff of legend, it is based in truth and deals with a deep knowledge of the nerve centers (energy clusters) of the body. In this fictional scene Jean Claude Van Damme (as Frank Dux) demonstrates the “penetrating power” of the “death touch”. This is just a cool scene I decided to share. If you like martial arts and have not seen this movie, I consider it a must watch! It’s just one of those “cult classic” martial arts movies that everyone especially martial artists should see.
Please be aware that human traffickers can come in three primary groups.
Choices of friends is so important. Please understand that their are certain habits that can expose you to a human trafficker. Parties, the club scene, drunkenness, drug use or “getting high”are risky activities and should be seen for what they really are “unwise”.
Sadly, in some cases family members have been known to sell their own. So, be aware, we live in a new world that is only getting more dangerous.
This is an obvious one. A wise blueprint is incredibly important when it comes to choosing a mate. So many of us having chosen unwisely at some point in our lives. My blog addresses this area and so many others providing a wise blue print for every part of your life is the goal of this blog.
3 METHODS USED TO BREAK OR ENSNARE A VICTIM
According to a CNN article, human traffickers can assume 5 roles in someone’s life, they are:
1. Pretender — Someone who pretends to be something s/he is not, such as a boyfriend, a big sister, a father (figure), etc.
2. Provider — Someone who offers to take care of an individual’s needs, such as for clothes, food, a place to live, etc or their wants, like cool cell phones, purses, parties, etc. (also hair-do’s, nails etc.)
3. Promiser — Someone who promises access to great things, like an amazing job, a glamorous lifestyle, travel, etc. (many use ads on job boards)
4. Protector — Someone who uses physical power or intimidation to protect (but also control) an individual.
5. Punisher — Someone who uses violence and threats to control an individual. When the previous disguises have been exhausted, an exploitative person often becomes a Punisher to maintain control.

Greetings everyone, I decided to start I new category on the blog that deals with music with a (righteous) message. For many reasons I advise people to be cautious of the music they allow to enter their ears. The wrong kind of music can do damage,
I will leave it at that… This is why I decided to provide what could be viewed as a righteous play-list for those who understand what I mean by the “damage” that the wrong music can do. I will be posting to this category often so stay tuned. The first song I am choosing is one that impacted me a lot as a child. It is a song by the 80’s rap duo Eric B. and Rakim. I will include a segment from the lyrics as well as a you-tube audio clip of the song at the end of the article. Please take time to internalize how I illustrate the lyrics of this song. It can be a useful tool for you or for when you want your children to see a unique angle of what you want them to learn, and now for the lyrics.
“Thinkin of a master plan
Cuz ain’t nuthin but sweat inside my hand
So I dig into my pocket, all my money is spent
So I dig deeper but still comin up with lint
So I start my mission- leave my residence
Thinkin how could I get some dead presidents
I need money, I used to be a stick-up kid
So I think of all the devious things I did
I used to roll up, this is a hold up, ain’t nuthin funny
Stop smiling, cos still, don’t nuthin move but the money But now I learned to earn cos I’m righteous
I feel great! So maybe I might just Search for a 9 to 5, if I strive Then maybe I’ll stay alive”
That is only 2 thirds of the song. It is my hope that this post inspired you or your children or both. There are so ways to come up with a righteous master plan to attack the “lack” in life. I will include many links to resources that will aid you in creating a master plan. Please share this article with whomever you think it can help., and as always Godspeed in your quest for self mastery under the Kingdom of Heaven.
Greetings everyone, it is my pleasure to announce that one of my students Alfonso “CHOC” Frierson got a 1st round K.O. in his pro boxing debut. CHOC has been training with me for 8 years. He has excelled as a student utilizing my principles of “Flex Fist Boxing” and other Shu Ha Ri Do concepts. Although I also teach conventional boxing he also has two boxing conditioning coaches Robert and Ray Chavez who have done an excellent job preparing him. As of now I do not have video footage of the fight, I am waiting for it to be released so stay tuned to the site for updates. Until then enjoy two videos below of CHOC training and sparring with other Shu Ha Ri Do students.
Greetings everyone, in this article I will be sharing with what I know about amino acids. When I engaged in competitions this was a big part of my nutrition plan. They helped me to reach peak performance, they will do the same for you. Even though I am not competing anymore I still consume them as a part of my daily health and training regimen.
1.Reduced Fatigue/Better Recovery
Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)(a) Come in three forms leucine, isoleucine, and valine they are essential amino acids, that are not produced by the body and must come from food. BCAAs increase muscle mass, decrease soreness recovery time and promote liver health.
Glutamine(c) helps with, constipation, diarrhea, anxiety, sugar or alcohol cravings, a poor immune system, low muscle mass, slow wound healing etc.
L-arginine(d) this amino acid converts into nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels, which increases blood flow to muscles. “This is what causes the “pump”
2.Increased Mental Focus
L-Tryptophan(e) the body converts this into serotonin which stablizes your mood and helps you sleep.
GABA(f) relieves anxiety, improves mood, reduces symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and is useful in combating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). GABA is also useful in promoting lean muscle growth, burning fat, regulating blood pressure, and pain relief.
3. Fat Burner
L-carnitine(g) transports fatty acids to the cells to be used as fuel.
L-Glutamine(h) is vital for digestion and intestinal health and plays a major role in the production of energy in the body.
Methionine(i) treats viral infections, liver disorders, and prevents acetaminophen from damaging the liver in acetaminophen poisoning.
4. Increases Muscle Growth
L-arginine increases (k) blood flow, and increases muscle growth
builds muscle, repairs wounds, and increases fertility in males.
Leucine greatly improves muscle recovery which allows for drastic increase in the production of lean muscle. it is basically a muscle building dynamo.
